Does the assassination of Indira Gandhi really hurt India?
It's really a controversial question that the answer may vary depending upon the states in India. Indira Gandhi, the 3 rd prime minister of India was assassinated at 9:20 a.m on 31 OCT 1984, at her New Delhi residence. She was killed by her two bodyguards Satwant Singh and Beant Singh. The reason behind the assassination is well known that Operation Blue star held at Golden temple in Amritsar. After the assassination, the revenge was taken by anti-Sikh mobs, notably Congress Party members take over the riots.
